To be imported as CBU from Japan.
According to Paul Tan, Mazda is planning to launch the Mazda CX-3 in Malaysia in July 2015. The vehicle which made its debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show will compete against the Honda HR-V.
The report continues that the CX-3 will be imported from Japan as CBU (Completely Built Unit), and will only be available in one front-wheel drive, but well-specced, variant. Features likely to make it to the compact SUV include six airbags, LED taillamps, and a head-up display as standard.
The Mazda CX-3 measures 4,275 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, and 1,550 mm tall, and boasts a wheelbase of 2,570 mm. Powering the vehicle will be a 2.0-litre SkyActiv-G direct injection petrol engine which will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing is expected to be under RM 130,000, but final prices are yet to be announced. The Honda HR-V, for instance, costs RM 118,800 (INR 20.43 lakh) on-the-road in Malaysia.
