Full specification, standard equipment revealed.
A set of brochure scans of the 2015 Mazda2 sedan and hatchback have surfaced online, giving us a look at the full spec sheet and standard equipment that will be available. This suggests that its market launch is slowly nearing.
Following the latest KODO design language, Mazda had first revealed the B-segment hatch followed by the sedan. The brochure scans reveal that the 2015 Mazda2 comes equipped with two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels and foglights; however, its headlamps are normal reflector units with standard bulbs as DRLs, rather than the projector headlamps and LED DRLs that was featured on the show car.
Inside, the Mazda2 is packed with enough equipment to warrant attention. It comes with keyless entry, push-button start, auto air-conditioning, black leather upholstery with a red stripe running down the middle of the seats, a seven-inch touchscreen powered by the MZD Connect infotainment system, a "Commander Control" dial, six speakers, and even a heads-up display.
Under the hood, the car comes with a 1.5-liter SkyActiv-G direct-injected four-cylinder petrol engine, capable of producing 114 hp at 6,000 rpm and 148 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It is coupled to a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters, and also features i-Stop automatic start-stop system for increased fuel efficiency.
