Chennai based Modsters Automotive have laid their hands on a Maruti Zen and turned into - as the name suggests - a pocket rocket. No mods are reported under the hood, so it only looks like a pocket rocket.
The Zen Pocket Rocket has custom fenders that accommodate wider wheels, black multi-spoke GTR alloy rims, custom front bumper with LED DRLs, LED strips for headlights, gloss black grille and mesh, gloss black ORVM caps, custom rear bumper with faux diffuser, and tinted taillamps. The interior hasn't been snapped, although it seems to have a custom dual tone red and black theme from the outside.
The Zen petrol was only available with a 1.0L 4-cyl which produced 60.9 PS at 6000 rpm and max torque is 78.48 Nm at 4500 rpm. It had a 5 speed manual transmission as standard. Back when it arrived, the Zen was one of Maruti's fastest offerings. The Zen was replaced by the Wagon R-based Zen Estilo, which then got discontinued in 2014. In the portfolio, the space has now been taken by Maruti Celerio and the Maruti Ignis.
