It's not news that Maruti Suzuki is launching the XL6 in India on 21 August 2019 as it has remained in the headlines for over two weeks now. The premium MPV has been caught behind the lenses several times and its official pre-bookings will commence within a matter of days. Here's a new teaser video showing its LED headlamp in detail.

The Maruti XL6 is essentially a derivative of the Maruti Ertiga. Positioned as a more premium product, it benefits from several additional/more advanced features, and one of them is LED headlamps. The LED headlamps have a sharper and more stylish design compared to the halogen projector headlamps of the donor model. LED DRLs are embedded within the headlamp assembly.

Other bits which make the Maruti XL6 unique include a black hexagonal grille with twin chrome slats, chunkier front bumper, repositioned front fog lamps, faux skid plates, black cladding on the lower body, silver garnish on the rocker panels, silver roof rails and restyled rear bumper. These elements make the Maruti XL6 look more rugged.

Reports say that Maruti Suzuki will launch the XL6 in two grades, namely Alpha and Zeta. As in case of other models sold through NEXA, Alpha will be the top-spec trim, while Zeta will be the lower-spec trim. The Zeta trim will be offered with a number of standard features such as alloy wheels, SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, individual captain seats for the second row, full LED headlamps with DRLs and all-black interior theme. The Alpha trim will be equipped with a reverse camera, leather seats and cruise control, dual-tone exterior colour scheme and black alloy wheels as well.

This engine is known to deliver a fuel efficiency rating of 19.34 km/l (MT)/18.69 km/l (AT) in the Ertiga. Expect the prices to start from somewhere between INR 10-11 lakh.
