While the Maruti Ertiga features halogen projector headlamps, the Maruti XL6 is equipped with LED headlamps.

While most of the information about the Maruti XL6 was already out officially or unofficially, the leaked brochure confirms the dimensions, feature list and various other details. The Maruti XL6 will be 4,445 mm long, 1,775 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall. It will be longer, taller and wider in comparison to the Ertiga. Its length, width and height will be 50 mm, 40 mm and 10 mm more, but the wheelbase will be the same at 2,740 mm. The XL6 will have a boot space of 209 litres (all seats up format), the same as the Ertiga.

The Maruti XL6 will carry the K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine which works in conjunction with the dual-battery mild-hybrid system. This engine will generate 77 kW (104.69 PS) of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. It will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The brochure also reveals the fuel economy figures of the XL6 which is the same as the Ertiga - 19.01 km/l (MT)/17.99 km/l (AT).

There will be two trims on offer, namely Zeta and Alpha. The Zeta trim is equivalent of the Ertiga’s Z trim, while the Alpha is based on the Ertiga's Z+ trim. Features like captain seats in the middle row, cruise control, 7-inch Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, LED fog lamps/headlamps/DRLs, roof rails, and contrast ORVMs are offered as standard. The higher Alpha trim gets additional features such as leather seats, electrically foldable ORVMs, black alloy wheels, auto-headlamps with follow-me-home and lead-me-to-vehicle feature and more.
