Maruti sold 7,832 units of the Vitara Brezza in April 2016.
According to sales figures compiled by SIAM, the Maruti Vitara Brezza has overtaken the Mahindra Bolero to become the 2nd best selling SUV in the month of April, and was just shy of pushing 69 units to beat the top-selling SUV - the Hyundai Creta.
Maruti sold 7,832 units of the Vitara Brezza in the month of April, selling 2,047 units more than the Mahindra Bolero. Only time will tell if Maruti's first sub-4m SUV can outpace the Hyundai Creta as well in the UV segment.
The Vitara Brezza is one of Maruti’s key contributors in helping them not only achieve nearly 50% market share in April, but also increase the company’s UV sales by a whopping 260.4 percent in the same month. Key reasons for its success is its highly competitive pricing, Maruti’s presence in the Indian market, and an attractive list of equipment.

Maruti will further widen the lineup by introducing a petrol variant of the Vitara Brezza that will reportedly pack the 1.0L Boosterjet engine, Maruti’s first turbocharged petrol engine. For now, buyers only have the 90PS 1.3L DDiS turbodiesel engine paired to a 5-speed MT.
