The Ignis's price goes from INR 4.59 Lakhs - INR 7.80 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Almost a year after its premiere at the 2016 Auto Expo, MSIL launched the Maruti Ignis crossover for sale in India on 13 January, in four grades, priced at INR 4.59 Lakhs to INR 7.80 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Last week it was reported that the Ignis already had 6,000 bookings in the bag, following the official commencement of orders in the first week of January. Emerging reports now say that bookings of the Ignis have crossed the 10,000 mark.

The Ignis measures 3,700 mm long, 1,690 mm wide, 1,595 mm tall, has a wheelbase of 2,435 mm, and ground clearance of 180 mm. It sells in six colours: Tinsel Blue, Silky Silver, Urban Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Uptown Red and Glistening Grey. The Zeta and Alpha variants receive contrast Black/White roof for Tinsel Blue and Uptown Red. A wide range of Maruti Ignis accessories from NEXA was announced at the launch.
The Maruti Ignis is powered by a 1.2L K12B 4-cyl petrol engine that produces 61 kW (83 PS) and 113 Nm of torque, and by a 1.3L 4-cyl DDiS 190 diesel engine that outputs 55.2 kW (75 PS) and 190 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, while a 5-speed AMT is an option in both variants.
The Maruti Ignis petrol has an ARAI rated fuel economy of 20.89 km/L, while the Maruti Ignis diesel does 26.80 km/L.
While dual airbags and ABS come standard in all variants, variants Delta and above get an audio system, dual-tone dashboard, steering-mounted buttons, power-operated ORVMs, and a MID. The Alpha gets LED projector headlamps and DRLs, puddle lamp, Smartplay touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, support for Suzuki remote app, rearview camera and automatic climate control.
