Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the Maruti Dzire Tour S CNG in India. IAB has got hold of a certification document that reveals this CNG model’s specifications.
The Maruti Dzire Tour S CNG measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,555 mm in height. It has a 2,430 mm wheelbase. Under the hood, is a 1.2-litre flex-fuel engine capable of running on petrol and CNG. Running on petrol, this engine produces 62 kW (84 PS) at 6,000 rpm. Its maximum power reduces to 52.5 kW (75 PS) in CNG mode. A 5-speed manual transmission is a given. The fuel economy figures are unknown at the moment.
The Maruti Dzire Tour S CNG is just a bi-fuel derivative of the Maruti Dzire Tour S. Launched in April last year, just weeks before the latest Maruti Dzire, the Tour S is the taxi market variant of the second-gen Maruti Dzire. It is the successor to Maruti Dzire Tour. Maruti Suzuki offers it with the familiar 82 PS 1.2-litre petrol and 75 PS 1.3-litre diesel engines. A speed governor, made mandatory by the government for taxis, limits the top speed to 80 km/h in the Dzire Tour.

The Maruti Dzire Tour S CNG is expected to cost between INR 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
