Priced from INR 4.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
According to a report from Car and Bike, the Maruti Baleno, which was launched in the last week of
October 2015, is averaging about 1,000 bookings a day. The premium hatchback, priced from INR 4.99 lakhs, (ex-Showroom New Delhi) has received over 40,000 bookings already, according to reports. In the middle of November, Maruti had divulged that they registered 21,000 orders.
The Baleno is sold exclusively through Maruti?s NEXA outlets, and rivals premium B-segment hatchbacks like the Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20 and the VW Polo. The 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine develops 84.3 PS and 115 Nm of torque, and is available with a choice of a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT option. The diesel option is the familiar 1.3-liter DDiS unit that makes 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
All variants of the Baleno get ABS, EBD and dual airbags as standard. Higher up the range, Maruti offers LED daytime running lights, HID headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, smart entry with push button start, automatic climate control, a touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, reverse camera and Apple's CarPlay technology.
