Nuvosport is the costliest in the segment.
Replacing the Mahindra Quanto, the Mahindra Nuvosport will rival the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra TUV300. Below is a specification comparison of the newly-launched Mahindra Nuvosport with its competition.
On the dimension front, the Ford EcoSport is the longest of the three by a hair, although the Nuvosport is the widest, tallest and has the longest wheelbase in the segment, which translates to better interior space. Even the boot volume is a class-leading 412 liters, which can be increased to 850 liters by folding the seats down.
In the powertrain department, the Nuvosport has the most powerful engine, which is a 1.5-liter three cylinder mHawk unit that produces 100 PS and 240 Nm of torque. However, don't get excited just yet, as the weight of the Nuvosport bogs fuel efficiency down.
As for pricing, the Mahindra Nuvosport is INR 5000 - INR 41,000 more expensive than its rivals. It is also priced and positioned above the Mahindra TUV300, its sister offering.
