Mahindra has announced that the production capacity of XUV500, Quanto and Ssangyong Rexton will be ramped up to bring down the waiting period.
The Quanto which shares its production line with its elder sibling Xylo has garnered over 12,000 bookings in the first two months of the launch. The company is increasing the monthly production capacity of the Quanto to 3,500 units. Similarly the production of the XUV500 will be increased to 4,500 units per month.
The recently launched Ssangyong Rexton also started off with an impressive 1,500 bookings prompting Mahindra to increase its production capacity to 500 units a month. The Rexton is being imported from South Korea in the form of CKD kits which are assembled at Mahindra's Chakan facility in Pune.
Mahindra also announced that the bookings for these three cars has been opened in more centers throughout the country. Ssangyong Rexton was available only across 9 cities until now.
