The 2017 Audi A5 Coupe was unveiled in Europe in June and has now made its North American debut at the Luxury and Supercar Weekend held at the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, Canada. It's based on the MLB Evo platform and as much as 60 kg lighter compared to the first generation model. It will be available in Europe with 140 kW (190 PS) 2.0-litre TFSI petrol, 185 kW (252 PS) 2.0-litre TFSI petrol, 140 kW (190 PS) 2.0-litre TDI diesel, 160 kW (218 PS) 3.0-litre TDI diesel and 210 kW (286 PS) 3.0-litre TDI diesel engines. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 7-speed S tronic and 8-speed tiptronic.
Noteworthy features of the 2017 Audi A5 Coupe are Matrix LED headlights, dynamic turn signals, 3D LED taillights, 19-inch wheels, ambient lighting with 30 adjustable colours, Audi virtual cockpit fully-digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch display, 8.3-inch Audi MMI infotainment system and 755-watt, 19-speaker 3D Bang & Olufsen Sound System.
The 2017 Audi A5 Coupe has been confirmed to go on sale in Europe in Autumn 2016 (September-November 2016). A leaked internal document revealed earlier this year that the all-new model will go on sale in Canada in early-2017.
