The 2015 KTM Duke 390 has started reaching dealerships. Although there is no official word regarding the list of updates, recent photos from a Indian dealership, posted by Motoroids, suggest a slew of changes and updates for the new model.
While the 2015 KTM 390 Duke looks exactly similar to the 2014 version, additions are in the form of subtle tweaks done to increase the reliability, comfort and handling of the machine. First and foremost, the biggest change for the 2015 Duke is the addition of a slipper clutch, which would now aid riders with more control while rapid downshifting, as it prevents the rear wheel from locking up.
Cosmetically, there are slightly modified LED turn signals with black borders, and the handlebar grips have been updated to the ones that come on the RC 200/390. The upside down front fork and the rear monoshock get extra plastic cladding for protection against dirt which is a well though move by KTM considering the dusty roads in India.
KTM India would now also increase the service interval for the 390 Duke from 5,000 km to 7,500 km giving riders more gap between services. The prices for the 2015 KTM 390 Duke have not been announced yet, but according to the dealership they are currently unchanged. However, the dealership also indicated that the prices might be rising within the coming weeks.
