Pre-orders for the Kia Seltos officially opened in India yesterday. 6,046 units of the premium B-SUV were pre-booked on day one.
The Kia Seltos can be pre-booked on Kia’s website or at a local dealership for a token amount of INR 25,000. 1,682 pre-orders were made online on the first day. The launch has been officially confirmed to take place on 22 August 2019. Two styles are available to select from - Tech Line and GT Line. E, K, K+, X and X+ are the equipment lines.
Kia offers the Seltos in the following mechanical configurations:
- 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, 6-speed MT, FWD, 16.4 km/l
- 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, CVT, FWD, 16.3 km/l
- 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine, 6-speed MT, FWD, 20.8 km/l
- 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine, 6-speed AT, FWD, 17.8 km/l
- 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine, 6-speed MT, FWD, 16.1 km/l
- 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine, 7-speed DCT, FWD, 16.2 km/l
Crown Jewel LED headlamps with Heartbeat DRLs, ice-cube LED front fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers and LED tail lamps are some of the exterior highlights of the Kia Seltos.
The premium B-SUV’s main comfort and convenience features include electric sunroof, 2-step reclining rear seats, ventilated front seats along with power adjustment for the driver seat, 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, embedded navigation, split-screen function and UVO connected vehicle technologies, 7-inch driver information display and 8-inch head-up display.
There are a number of advanced safety features offered, such as VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), front parking sensors, 360° view camera, six airbags and more.

The Kia Seltos competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks as well as the MG Hector and the Tata Harrier.
