Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India today announced that the Jeep Compass has crossed the 10,000 bookings milestone.
The company opened pre-bookings for the SUV on June 19 and launched the Compass on July 31 this year. FCA India, which is currently focusing entirely on its go-to market execution confirms over 92,000 enquiries as of this day. One of the major reasons for the demand of the SUV is the competitive pricing, starting from INR 14.95 lakhs for the 1.4 Multi-Air Turbo Petrol ‘Sport’ 4x2 variant with a 6-speed manual transmission; and topping off at INR 20.65 lakhs for the 2.0L MultiJet Turbo Diesel ‘Limited (O)’ 4x4 variant with a 6-speed manual gearbox (both ex-showroom Delhi).

The Jeep Compass deliveries started on August 6. The Ranjangaon plant has paced up production to reduce waiting period. The company has ramped up the production with two shifts working six days a week. The Compass currently retails out of 50 Jeep-flagship and FCA outlets, across 47 cities. FCA will expand its sales network to 60 outlets by the end of this calendar year.
The company has introduced its global service and customer care brand Mopar in India. Mopar is an 80-year old North American after-sales and customer service brand, which now manages services related to vehicle insurance, extended warranty, annual maintenance packages, Jeep Express Lane service, battery program and tyre replacement program across India, under the Mopar Vehicle Protection plan. All FCA authorized workshops across India are now Mopar-branded and technicians are trained as per global standards and diagnostic techniques to attend to all service related issues.
