Does 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR, shown at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show today, is the first series production model from Jaguar to be developed by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division. The F-Type SVR variant is more powerful and lighter than the F-Type R AWD, and features chassis enhancements and active aerodynamics.
The bumper has been extended outboard to cut the drag. At the rear, there's a specially developed deployable wing that deploys once the vehicle (in Normal mode) reaches 60 mph (96 km/h) in case of the Convertible version or 70 mph (112 km/h) in case of the Coupe version. There many such aerodynamic measures taken for supreme driving dynamics.
The Jaguar F-Type SR gets bespoke interior boasting its top position in the model range. 14-way adjustable SVR Performance seats finished in Jet black leather with a Lozenge Quilt pattern, contrast stitching and micro-piping and headrests embossed with the SVR logo; suede-cloth covering for the instrument cluster and centre console, InControl Touch/InControl Touch Plus infotainment system with 8-inch capacitive touchscreen; and 380 watt/770 watt Meridian surround sound audio system are few among the appealing interior features.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR sports a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out 575 PS (423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb.-ft.) of torque. The engine sends power to the wheels via an 8-speed Quickshift automatic transmission. Bespoke calibrations have been made to the all-wheel drive system. 0-100 km/h can be reached in just 3.7 seconds; the Coupe version can go up 200 mph (322 km/h), while the Convertible version maxes out at 195 mph (314 km/h).
Stopping power comes from standard Super Performance braking system that features large, 380 mm (front) and 376 mm (rear) discs. Optional Carbon Cermaic Matrix (CCM) braking system features even larger, 398 mm (front) and 380 mm (rear) discs, and six- and four-piston monobloc calibers.
