Production version to sit right on top of the brand's product portfolio.
The Infiniti Q80 Inspiration Concept sedan which previews the Nissan-owned premium brand's flagship model has made its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The company describes the concept as a "category-braking four seat fastback". The futuristic concept measures 5,052 mm long with a generous wheelbase of 3,103 mm. Width and height stand at 2,027 mm and 1,350 mm respectively. The massive 22-inch alloy wheels add to the fastback's audacious stance.
Another interesting design feature is the lack of ORVMs, and the Q80 Inspiration uses strategically mounted cameras instead. The complete roof is made of lightweight acoustic glass and the doors open in portal glass so that the entire cabin is on display.
The equally futuristic interior is finished in aluminium, carbon fibre and leather. Every passenger has been provided a highly stylized and personalized ambiance.
The premium fastback, which vies to compete with titans like the Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8, is motivated by a 3.0-liter V6 hybrid electric powertrain that develops 550 hp and returns a fuel efficiency of 18.18 km/l and CO2 emissions of about 129g/km. The car sits on an all-wheel drive platform.
