Escorts India has launched its Farmtrac Heritage 6075 four-wheel drive (4WD) tractor in Tanzania. The vehicle will be sold in the country via Noble Motors.
Positioned in the sub-80 hp segment, the 6075 is claimed to be the most fuel efficient offering in its class. It's launched under the Kilimo Kwanza program (Agriculture First) in Tanzania, and the company already has more than 2,000 customers in the country. The launch is followed by a road show across the country from January 31 to February 8.
The Farmtrac 6075 is suitable for all kinds of haulage and hard soil farm applications, says the company.
Mr. Rajesh Kumar, VP, International Business, Escorts Agri Machinery, said, "Ergonomically engineered and custom designed for African market, Escorts' Farmtrac Heritage 6075 is ideal for Tanzania's farmers."

Previously, Escorts showcased and launched its range at the 2014 NAMPO (South Africa's largest agricultural show). The brand intends to increase its market share (in the sub 80 hp segment) to 10 per cent by 2020.
