India-bound S-Cross facelift released in China - In 9 Studio Shots

The mid-cycle update has brought visual changes to S-Cross, with the majority of them at the front.

The mid-cycle update has brought visual changes and additional equipment to the Suzuki S-Cross. The crossover's new face has the reshaped LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, a waterfall grille with vertical chrome slats and chrome border, revised lower grille and remodelled bumper. Designers have even resculpted the hood with two creases. 17-inch alloy wheels bring freshness to the side, while at the rear, the tweaked taillamps have LED lighting.

Changan Suzuki has listed the facelifted Suzuki S-Cross in three grades: Urban Fashion, City Aggressive and Urban Enjoyment. Panoramic sunroof, leather steering wheel, leather seats, automatic climate control, electrically folding exterior mirrors, keyless entry, engine start-stop button, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with reverse camera input and reverse parking sensors are among the key features of the car.

The 2017 Suzuki S-Cross is available with the 1.6-litre G-INNOTEC VVT petrol engine that produces 90 kW (120.64 hp) and 158 Nm of torque and the 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET petrol engine that develops 103 kW (138.07 hp) and 220 Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre engine is paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. As for the 1.4-litre engine, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic are the transmission choices. The ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system is available only in this engine model.

The facelifted S-Cross is expected to be priced between CNY 1,00,000-1,65,000 (INR 9,56,290.32-15,77,879.02).

The refreshed Maruti S-Cross will go on sale in India around Diwali (October-November) this year with interior and exterior changes similar to the Chinese model. It remains to be seen if the mid-cycle update will bring a petrol engine option and automatic transmission to the crossover.
