Will launch for sale in Argentina this July.
Nissan has conducted the Argentine debut of the Nissan Kicks SUV at the Salón de Buenos Aires 2017. It will launch for sale this July at prices ranging between 448,000 pesos to 490,000 pesos.
Argentina will have the Kicks in two grades: Advance and Exclusive. The initial wave of units will be imported from Mexico, while the model produced at Nissan's plant in Resende, Brazil will arrive at a later time. It is powered by a 1.6-litre flex-fuel unit with 114 hp at 5,600 rpm and 15.5 kgfm (152 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm. Both Advance and Exclusive grades can be had with an XTRONIC CVT, while the base grade gets a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The top-end Exclusive comes equipped with features like 17-inch wheels, leather seats with “Zero Gravity” technology, 360-degree camera, smart i-Key, engine push button start and GPS navigation, six airbags, stability control, traction control and automatic climate control. It measures 4,295 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm.
For the Indian market, the Kicks is in the pipeline for launch although, unlike the model to-be-sold in Argentina that rides on the V-Platform, the Kicks for India will be based on the Renault Duster’s platform. The Kicks will slot above the Nissan Terrano, and rival the Hyundai Creta and the Mahindra Scorpio. It's expected to arrive in showrooms in India in Q3 2018.
