Honda's flagship SUV shown in Muscat.
Honda showcased the Honda Pilot at the 2016 Oman Motor Show held in Muscat earlier this month. The third generation Pilot was launched in November last year in the country.
The Honda Pilot measures 4,964 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width and 1,772 mm/1,773 mm/1,788 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,818 mm and offers a ground clearance of 185 mm/200 mm, slotting above the Honda CR-V. Power comes from the standard 3.5-litre i-VTEC naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine that delivers 209 kW (280 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 355 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission routes power to the wheels.
The Honda Pilot is available in Oman in three trim levels: EX, EXL and Touring. The Pilot EX can be had in 2WD or 4WD, while the Pilot EXL and Pilot Touring are offered only in 4WD. Only the top-spec Touring trim level features the 7-seat configuration with captain seats in the second row. The EX and EXL trim levels have 8-seat configuration.
Equipment highlights of the Honda Pilot include LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, panoramic roof, 8-inch Display Audio infotainment system with DVD player and navigation system, 8-way power driver seat with memory, ambient LED light, 10-speaker sound system and 9-inch rear entertainment system.
