As the Honda Mobilio RS with a sportier appearance is almost ready to launch in Indonesia, Autonetmagz.com presents new information regarding the interior of the glorified compact MPV variant.
The Indonesia-spec Mobilio RS will be based on the Mobilio Prestige top end variant. As seen in the earlier spyshots, the sporty variant wears aggresive front and rear bumpers, new headlamp detailing with LED elements, twin-slat chrome grille, body skirts, new alloy wheels, chrome finished exhaust tip and RS badge.
As far as the interior is concerned, the RS variant is expected to borrow the full black theme that is seen on the higher trim levels of the Brio and the Amaze in Thailand. The centre console hosts a DVD audio system with reverse parking camera support. The multimedia infotainment system is also expected to offer Bluetooth connectivity.
The Honda Mobilio RS will continue to use the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The power and torque output stand at 118 PS and 145 Nm respectively.
The Mobilio RS will command a premium over the Mobilio Prestige which retails at 201 million Rupiah (around INR 10.08 lakhs).
The Mobilio is set to be launched in India next month and Honda Cars India has not ruled out the possibility of launching the RS variant at a later stage.
