This Honda CR-V Diesel is powered by a 1.6L diesel engine which features the class leading EarthDreams technology. The engine is good for 120 PS and 300Nm of torque.

This is the same engine that powers the Civic in UK. It is the lightest engine in its class and weighs 47kg less than the donor 2.2-litre i-DTEC powerplant. It also has lesser mechanical friction than its higher capacity big brother.

Thanks to reduced friction and lesser weights, the 1.6 L mill offers a perfect balance of performance and economy. It also has an ECON mode which helps to minimize fuel consumption

The Eco Assist system advises drivers on how their driving style is impacting on fuel economy. The 1.6L mill also comes with an Idle Stop technology

The 1.6 L iDTEC engine will send power only to the front wheels via a manual transmission. No automatic or 4WD option is available. Rest all features and functionalities are pretty much same as the normal petrol CR-V which is also on sale in India.
