The Civic Tourer was developed and designed by Honda's European R&D division. The estate version of the Civic can accommodate 624 liters of luggage with the seats in place and 1,668-liters when the Magic Seats are folded down.
Engine options include a 1.6-liter iDTEC diesel engine and a 1.8-liter iVTEC petrol. Though the specifications of these engines for the Civic Tourer are unavailable, we assume the power outputs wouldn't be much different from the regular Civic hatchback. Which means the diesel would be good for 120bhp and 300Nm while the petrol should offer 142bhp and 174Nm.
The Civic Tourer also features an Adaptive Damper System (ADS) for the rear axle. The driver can toggle between Comfort, Dynamic and Normal depending on the road condition.
The Civic Tourer will have its public premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show which opens for the media on September 10. Production of the vehicle will take place at Honda's UK manufacturing facility and sales are expected to commence in early 2014.
