Prices will range from Rp. 230 million to Rp. 265 million.
The Honda BR-V roadshow comes to an end, after touring all over Indonesia and giving prospective customers a closer look at the crossover. It is being showcased in Jakarta at the Kasablanka Mall from 19 to 25 October 2015.
Honda's newest crossover made its world debut at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on August 20. It will launch in Indonesia in three trim levels – S, E and Prestige. As announced during its world debut, prices will range from Rp. 230 million to Rp. 265 million (INR 10.83 lakhs and INR 12.48 lakhs), and will arrive in showrooms in early-2016.
The 7-seater measures 4,455 mm long, 1,735 mm wide, 1,650 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,660 mm and a ground clearance of over 200 mm. The exterior combines the practicality of a MPV and looks of a crossover in one package, finished with the characteristic Honda styling.
Powering the BR-V is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine delivering 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. It is paired to a new 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while higher variants come with a CVT unit for the Indonesian market.
As for equipment, it features projector headlights with LED positioning light, electrically retractable ORVMs, double blower AC, steering mounted controls and a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety equipment include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, VSA (Vehicle Stability Control) and HSA (Hill Start Assist).
The BR-V is expected to launch in India in the first half of 2016.
