Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has made it official that it will be launching the Honda Activa 125 on April 28. The Activa 125, which was previewed at the 2014 Auto Expo back in February, will be the most powerful scooter from the brand.
While the market launch will take place in a couple of days, prices of the scooter have been revealed beforehand. Honda will offer the Activa 125 in two variants: Standard and Deluxe.
Honda Activa 125 Prices:
- Honda Activa 125 Standard - INR 52,447
- Honda Activa 125 Deluxe - INR 58,156
Note: Prices mentioned are ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
The Standard variant of the scooter will come with drum brakes and pressed steel wheels, while the Deluxe will see the inclusion of a disc brake at the front and alloy wheels.
The Activa 125 is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, 124.9 cc engine. The engine produces 8.6 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 10.12 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm and uses a V-Matic transmission, similar to the regular Activa.
The Standard version comes with 130 mm drums for the front and rear, while the disc brake variant uses a 190 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum. Both variants will get Honda's CBS (Combi Braking System) technology as standard fitment.
The Activa 125 will come in four body colors: White, Black, Blue and Silver. The Suzuki Access 125 will be the key rival for the Activa 125.
