While the Hero Xtreme Sports was showcased in January 2014 and has made countless appearances everywhere from EICMA 2014, to shows in Nepal and Sri Lanka, there is still no concrete launch date.

The Xtreme Sports gets a 0.7 Nm torque increase, while retaining the 149.2 cc engine.

That said, things seem to be moving forward as Hero MotoCorp recently updated its website with a new brochure of the Xtreme Sports that also point out an increase in torque (13.5 Nm @ 7,000 RPM) as compared to the value disclosed at the unveiling (12.8 Nm @ 6,500 RPM) which was same as the regular Xtreme.

To summarize, the Hero Xtreme Sports is powered by a 149.2 cc Honda engine that produces 15.2 bhp of power and 13.5 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike will be positioned about INR 3,000 more than the standard Xtreme, but there is nothing official on the prices yet.

The motorcycle will launch with a rear-disc and variant along with the rear-drum brake variant, where there would be 1 kg difference between both models (146 kg without disc).

The starting variant of the Xtreme Sport (without rear disc) is expected to be priced at INR 70,300 while the range-topping, rear disc version is expected to cost INR 73,650 (ex-showroom, Pune).
