Genesis showcased its first product - the Genesis G90 (Genesis EQ900), at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show) held last month. Already launched in South Korea, the Genesis G90 will be sold in the U.S., Canada, Russia, and the Middle East. The Hyundai Equus successor will be sold in China too, Genesis has confirmed.
The Genesis G90 measures 5,205 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width and 1,495 mm height, and has a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. There's a long-wheelbase version too, measuring 5,495 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width and 1,505 mm in height, and having a wheelbase of 3,450 mm.
Three engine options are available: 3.8-litre GDi naturally aspirated V6 petrol unit good for 315 PS (311 hp) and 40.5 kg.m (397 Nm) of torque, 3.3-liter T-GDi twin-turbo V6 petrol unit rated for 370 PS (365 hp) and 52.0 kg.m (510 Nm) of torque and 5.0-litre GDi naturally aspirated V8 petrol unit developing 425 PS (419 hp) and 53.0 kg.m (520 Nm) of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard across the range. 3.3L and 3.8L engine models can be rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, but the 5.0L model is an all-wheel drive as standard.
A few among the many key features of the Genesis G90 are, 19-inch turbine-blade design alloy wheels, 22-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power shoulder adjustment, 16-way adjustable passenger seat, 7-inch TFT-LCD display for the instrument cluster, 12.3-inch HD display and DIS control knob for the infotainment system, 17-speaker Lexicon Premium Sound System featuring QuantumLogic Surround sound and 9.2-inch HD displays for the rear seats.
