Ford has released the India-bound 2018 Ford EcoSport's pictures and complete details in Brazil. The facelifted EcoSport will go on sale in the country next month.
The facelift to the Ford EcoSport brings an updated look to the exterior and interior with cues borrowed from the company's latest models like the Ford Edge, Ford Kuga and Ford Fiesta. On the outside, the 2018 Ford EcoSport features Xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels and an electric sunroof. On the inside, new design instrument panel with 4.2-inch MID, SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 9-speaker Sony Premium audio system are among the highlights.
Safety and driver assistance features of the 2018 Ford EcoSport include Blind Spot Monitoring System with Cross Traffic Alert, seven airbags, ESC, TC, HLA, rear parking sensor and reverse camera. The 2018 Ford EcoSport is available with two engines in Brazil: 1.5L TiVCT Flex and 2.0L Direct Flex. The India-made 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine produces up to 137 cv (137 hp) and up to 159 Nm of torque. 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission are the transmission choices. The 2.0-litre engine develops up to 176 cv (176 hp) and up to 221 Nm of torque. This engine is linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Ford EcoSport is priced from R$73,900-93,990 (INR 15,00,581.37-19,08,520.20) in Brazil. Its Indian debut is expected October this year, followed by a sales launch in December. The current model is priced from INR 7,10,200 (ex-showroom Delhi) and goes up to INR 10,71,300 (ex-showroom Delhi). Exports to the U.S. and Canada will commence early next year.
