Sanand plant will also export the Figo Aspire to other markets.
Ford staged the debut of the new Figo Aspire compact sedan yesterday, at its all-new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Sanand, Gujarat. The Figo Aspire is the first car to be made at this plant, and later in the year, a hatchback version is set to enter production also.
The Indian market launch of the Figo Aspire, Ford India's first ever sub-4 meter sedan, is set to take place in June this year. The Figo Aspire is confirmed to be powered by a 1.2-liter TiVCT petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, though the power and torque outputs of these units remain unannounced.
