June 18, 2015 -
Is priced between AUS $54,990 and $76,990.
After debuting in Bangkok and Philippines, the next market for the Ford Everest, the India-bound Ford Endeavour, is Australia. Caradvice is reporting that the variant-wise price list for the Ford Everest is now out. Readers must note that the Australian prices have no bearing on the pricing strategy Ford will adopt on the Endeavour when it comes to India late in the year.
Reported to go on sale in October in the continent, the top-end Titanium is priced at $76,990 (INR 37.9 lakh) excluding on-road costs. The bottom variant of the Everest is said to be priced at $54,990 (INR 27 lakh), while the mid-variant Trend will be available at $60,990 (INR 30.24 lakh).
Unlike in the Philippine market, the Australian market will only get the 4x4 variant of the SUV. Features of the top-end Titanium include 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles and exterior mirrors, LED daytime running lights, tyre pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitoring system with cross-traffic alert, DAB+ digital radio, power tailgate, projector headlamps, 10-speaker audio system with subwoofer amongst other items. All models come standard with a four-mode Terrain Management System.
The Everest is powered by a 3.2-liter five-cylinder turbo diesel engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine produces 143 KW (191.76 hp) at 3,000 rpm and a peak torque of 470 Nm between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm.
