Kinetic MotoRoyale is all set to launch the FB Mondial HPS 300 in India tomorrow. FB Mondial is an Italian bike maker, which will be marketed in India by Kinetic Group-owned MotoRoyale.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 is a modern retro roadster that receives a classic design, which is a mix of a café racer and a scrambler. The HPS 300 debuted at the EICMA 2017 motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. According to FB Mondial, the HPS stands for ‘Hipster’, and it is clearly apparent from the design of the bike. The motorcycle was earlier expected to launch in India in September.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 will be imported as CKD (completely knocked down) kits, while it will be assembled at Kinetic’s facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The motorcycle features 41 mm upside-down forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear with 120 mm of suspension travel.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 employs a Piaggio-sourced 249 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor with fuel injection that is capable of producing a maximum power of 25 PS at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 22 Nm at 7,000rpm. A 6-speed gearbox transfer control to the wheel via a final chain drive.
Anchorage comes from a 280 mm single front disc with a 4-piston radial calliper, along with a 220 mm rear rotor with a single-piston floating calliper, while ABS is standard. The bike comes with a seat height of 785 mm, while it has a dry weight of 135 kg.

The motorcycle features 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels that which wraps with 110/90 R18 front and 130/70 R17 rear tube-type tyres. The FB Mondial HPS 300 is likely to cost around INR 3 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will while rival KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R and the upcoming Cleveland Misfit and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
