Ford India have announced a new brand ambassador for the company's upcoming big ticket product - the Ford Figo Aspire. The famous face that Ford's expecting to attract the crowd is the Bhaag Milka Bhaag star, Farhan Akhtar.
The actor/director/producer/singer will now add "brand ambassador" to his list of achievements. And, according to reports, the actor is getting well acquainted with people behind the promotional campaigns.
The all new Ford Figo Aspire was unveiled at the company's new manufacturing plant in Sanand, Gujarat, in March where it and the Figo hatchback will roll-out from. It will launch with a choice between two engines: a 1.2-liter TiVCT petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. A more-powerful 1.5-liter petrol with a dual-clutch automatic transmission is also expected, perhaps at a later stage, as the company specifically stated “two responsive and economical engines” in the announcement.

The Indian-spec next gen Figo hatchback is identical to the Ford Ka sold in Brazil, that Ford India is yet to formally reveal. It will sport a new design that falls inline with Ford’s latest design philosophy, and a well equipped interior with some segment-firsts
