Citroen is showcasing the Citroen E-Mehari at the 2016 Bologna Motor Show in Italy. The successor to the 1968 Citroen Mehari is already on sale in France.
The Citroen E-Mehari measures 3,809 mm in length, 1,728 mm in width and 1,653 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,430 mm. It's powered by an electric motor that generates 50 kW (67.02 hp) and 140 Nm of torque. There's a 30 kWh Lithium-Metal-Polymer battery pack to run the electric motor, and it provides a driving range of 200 km in urban driving and 100 km in extra urban driving.
The battery can be fully charged in 8 hours through a 16A socket, or in 13 hours through a 10A socket. The Citroen E-Mehari has a top speed of 110 km/h.
15-inch alloy wheels, Parrot audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, ABS and ESP are some of the noteworthy features of the Citroen E-Mehari. It can be had in Orange Mecanique, Grand Blue, Beige De Jour and Yellow Submarine exterior colours, and is priced at an eye-watering €25,000 (18,25,361.74) in France. Additionally, Citroen E-Mehari buyers need to subscribe to batteries at €79 (INR 5769.27) per month.
