Citroen has released photographs of the 'DS Wild Rubis' concept car ahead of its debut at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show that opens on April 20.
The concept previews a future DS SUV and is motored by plug-in hybrid technology. It is 4.7m long, 1.95m wide and 1.59m tall with a wheelbase of 2.9m, planted on 21 inch wheels.
The exterior is designed to invite on-lookers to see its "feature-rich and versatile" cabin. Citroen has not specified the positioning of the product, production plans, interior features or the technical specifications. The press release harps endlessly about the vehicle's design, we admit that the literature is from the top draw, but it isn't helping to identify the future model.
Up front, the DS Wild Rubis features a three-dimensional grille with a DS logo. On either side are full-LED headlights with scrolling indicator signals. The DS Wild Rubis features a chrome signature on its side, the roof rails are designed to accentuate its height and there's a rear wing too to jazz up the design.
The tail lights are encased in chrome, and the DS emblem sports a subtle lighting effect. One can also see twin exhaust tips and chrome finish at the back.
Citroen may release more updates on the car next week. If else, we'll get to see and understand it better at the show floor in Shanghai.
