Audi commenced the production of the Audi Q2 in Germany last month. Now, the company has revealed the Audi Q2 Edition #1 and announced that it will reach dealerships in late Autumn (September-November) this year.
The Audi Q2 Edition #1 benefits from S line exterior package with sporty bumpers and sills as well as a unique diffuser, distinctive Manhattan gray finish for the add-on parts in the lower area of the body, black blade on the C-pillar with the four rings in white, and black exterior mirror housings.
Other highlights include exclusive quantum gray body paint and titanium black styling package that gives styling accents to the Singleframe and the bumpers, and five-arm rotor design 19-inch wheels, height-adjustable sport seats, leather-covered multifunction sports steering wheel, leather package and illuminated aluminum door sill trims with the 'S' emblem, fabric-leather seats in black and amaretto and titanium gray headlining.
The Audi Q2 measures 4,191 mm in length, 1,794 mm (2,009 mm with mirrors) in width and 1,508 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,601 mm and a 200 mm ride height. The youngest Q series model is based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform and will be available with six engine options in Germany: 85 kW (116 PS) 1.0 TFSI petrol, 110 kW (150 PS) 1.4 TFSI petrol, 140 kW (190 PS) 2.0 TFSI petrol, 85 kW (116 PS) 1.6 TDI diesel, 110 kW (150 PS) 2.0 TDI diesel and 140 kW (190 PS) 2.0 TDI diesel.
Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic. A front-wheel drive layout is standard, but a few models will be available with the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

According to reports, Audi is planning a long-wheelbase version for China, and this extended iteration is reportedly being evaluated for India. Speaking of derivatives, an S performance variant is also in the cards.
