Aprilia has dropped another teaser of the upcoming RS 660 middleweight supersport motorcycle ahead of its debut at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show. The 32-second teaser video, featuring Aprilia Racing Team rider Andrea Iannone, gives a glimpse of the front fascia of the production-spec motorcycle, revealing the sleek LED DRLs along with the headlight assembly.

The teaser video also gives a closer look at the fairing setup of the upcoming RS 660. It also gives a look at the motorcycle from behind the handlebar, although the finer details have been kept hidden. Apart from the features mentioned above, we also get another look at the double bubble windscreen in the teaser video. The windscreen was also seen in the teaser photograph posted by the Italian two-wheeler brand. The previous teaser photograph revealed the red cover for the rider seat and a red highlight on the top-front of the fuel tank.

The patent images of the production-spec Aprilia RS 660 were leaked in May this year. The sketches revealed that the production-spec Aprilia RS 660 will carry most of the styling cues from the concept model that debuted at the 2018 EICMA motorcycle show. Thus, the upcoming RS 660 will feature fairing-mounted MotoGP-style winglets at the front for improved downforce and better stability. Aprilia uses a similar design for its flagship supersport motorcycle, the RSV4 1100.

The previous teaser had also indicated that the RS 660 will not feature a pillion setup (seat and footrests). The motorcycle will use conventional blinkers as standard, although we expect the optional accessories to include LED units.

Hardware specifications are still under wraps. While the details are limited, we expect Aprilia to offer the RS 660 in two versions – standard and RF (Race Factory). The base version will most likely use Sachs-sourced suspension setup while the premium version will pack Ohlins-sourced shock absorbers. The premium version could also feature Brembo M50 callipers. Anchoring department will pack dual discs at the front and a single rotor at the rear. A comprehensive electronics package will ensure safety. Aprilia may add a Bosch sourced IMU for cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control.
