After a few reschedules, Revolt Motors has finally launched its first products in the Indian market. The brand surprised today by launching not one but two models – the RV400 and the RV300. The pre-bookings for the RV 400 began on 25 June and the electric bike secured over 2,500 bookings in just two weeks.

The motorcycles come with an optional helmet that packs speakers and microphone. The optional accessory features a Voice-Enabled Start (powered by Google) that starts the vehicle with “Revolt Start” command. The RV duo also gets a Smart Key that offers functions like Lock, Unlock, Remote Start and Locate My Bike.
The RV 400 and the RV 300 are built around a single cradle frame that connects to a bolted sub-frame and an aluminium swingarm. Premium hardware on the motorcycles includes full LED lighting (blinkers, taillight and headlight), digital display with real-time bike diagnosis and Bluetooth connectivity. The EVs comes with a smartphone app that gives access to various functions on the motorcycle.
The application gives access to battery range, trip information, geofencing, geolocation and battery-swapping stations locator. The app also allows the rider to select an exhaust note from the available presets. Currently, the RV range gets four artificial sounds – Revolt, Roar, Rage and Rebel.
Shock absorption tasks are performed by inverted front forks and an adjustable rear monoshock. Braking department comprises disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net features combined braking system (CBS). The RV 400 is available in two colour options – Rebel Red and Cosmic Black. The RV 300, too, comes in two paints – Neon Black and Smokey Grey.
The RV 400 uses a 3.24 kWh battery pack. Its top speed varies as per the riding mode, and there are three of them – Eco (45 km/h), Normal (65 km/h) and Sport (85 km/h). The selected modes also affect the range. The RV 400 can over 150 km in Eco Mode, 100 km in Normal Mode and 80 km in Sports Mode.
The company will introduce a Nitro mode in the future that will come with an even higher top speed. Looking at the speed differences between the existing riding modes, we expect to see a maximum speed of 105 km/h from the Nitro mode. The RV 400 has an ARAI-certified range of 156 km.
The relatively lower-spec RV 300, on the other hand, uses a 2.7 kWh battery pack. The Eco Mode claims to return 180 km, while the Normal Mode and Sports Mode promise 110 km and 80 km respectively. The top speed of the RV 300 stands at 65 km/h in Sports Mode, 45 km/h in Normal mode and 25 km/h in Eco Mode.
The battery pack of the RV 400 takes approximately 3 hours for a 75% recharge and 4.5 hours to fully (0-100%) juice up. The RV 300's battery pack, on the other hand, recharges to 75% in 3 hours and to 100% in 4.2 hours.
The ergonomics are designed to be city-friendly, and the RV bikes come with a flat, single-piece handlebar for an upright riding position. The rider can adjust the footpegs in two positions – Sports and Cruise – as per his preference for a more comfortable ride experience.
The high ground clearance makes sure that the motorcycles rollover any obstructions on the road. Both bikes are IP67 certified, thus ensuring proper function even during heavy rains and waterlogging situations. The seat height of the RV 400 is 814 mm, while the RV 300’s saddle is even taller, at 826 mm.
The bikes come with a 10,000 km service interval and a five-year/75,000 km warranty. The owners will benefit from free service that includes consumables and tyre replacement (one set) for three years. Other features include intelligent side stand (that disables the ignition when the stand is down), USB charger and storage space in the front (where a fuel tank sits on a conventional bike).
The RV 400 and RV 300 come with My Revolt Plan (MRP) and at zero down payment. The MRP includes three-year insurance. The owners get free access to the battery switch service for free till 31 December. The bikes also come with unlimited 4G connectivity for three years.
