To commemorate TVS Ntorq 125’s achievement of becoming the most awarded scooter in India for FY 2018-19, the company has announced the launch of a new colour option for the vehicle. The Ntorq 125 will now be available in Matte Silver colour option. The scooter will also feature ‘Scooter of the Year’ emblem on all variants.

The Matte Silver colour will be available on the disc brake variant. Apart from the new Matte Silver paint, the Ntorq 125 is also available in:
- Matte Yellow
- Matte White
- Matte Red
- Metallic Blue
- Metallic Grey
- Metallic Red
Launched in February 2018, the TVS Ntorq 125 has received nine automotive industry awards in India. It crossed the 2-lakh sales milestone in less than 1 year since its launch. Regular readers would know that TVS Motor had launched the drum brake variant of 125 cc scooter in May. The drum brake variant is available at INR 58,252*, while the disc brake variant retails at INR 59,900*.
The base variant features 130 mm drum brakes on both ends, while the premium variant comes with 220 mm disc on the front wheel. All other specifications are identical. The TVS Ntorq draws power from a 124.79 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, 3-valve, OHC engine that churns out 9.4 PS at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of maximum torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter's top speed is rated at 95 km/h. The safety net of the CBS comes as standard.
The first-in-segment SmartXonnect technology gives the Ntorq 125 an edge over its rivals. The Connected Technology uses Bluetooth to connect to a smartphone via 'TVS NTORQ' SmartXonnect App. The SmartXonnect provides access to features such as Navigation Assist, Phone Signal Strength, Phone Battery Strength, Last Parked Location Assist, Incoming Call Alert, Missed Call Alert, Caller ID, Auto Reply SMS and Ride Stats. The instrument console also features in-built lap timer, 0-60 km/h acceleration timer, Power/Eco mode indicator and three trip meters.

In other updates, TVS Motor Company has updated the ZX variant of the Jupiter with new features such as a semi-digital instrument console and full LED headlight to compete more strongly with the Honda Activa 5G.
The TVS Ntorq competes with products like Honda Grazia, Aprilia SR125 and Hero Maestro Edge 125.
