As seen in the photograph published by the motoring portal, the Indian-spec KTM RC125 will be available in a dual-tone paint scheme, featuring orange and black colours. It is different from that of the test mule that was spotted in April this year. Thus, the bike will arrive in more than one colour option. We expect to see three paint schemes for the RC125 – Orange/Black, Orange/White and Full Black.
As reported in April, the KTM RC125 will arrive in the Indian market in June. While the KTM 125 Duke competes with the MT-15, the RC125 will lock horns with the YZF-R15 V3.0.
The RC125 will share its engine specifications with the 125 Duke. Like the 125 Duke, the RC125 will arrive with a BS-IV compliant motor coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The 124.7 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection tech that churns out 14.5 PS of peak power at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of max torque at 8,000 rpm. We may see the Euro-V/BS-VI ready KTM RC/Duke range at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show.
Feature list will include an underbelly exhaust, twin-pod projector headlight, LED tail light and blinkers, clip-on handlebars and a digital display. Anchoring department will consist of disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net, as on the 125 Duke, will include a single-channel ABS. In comparison, the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 comes with a dual-channel ABS.
Shock absorption tasks are performed by upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear.
