Royal Enfield has commenced the bookings process for the Trials 350 and Trials 500. Potential buyers could book the motorcycle for a token amount of INR 5,000. Royal Enfield would announce the prices for the Trials 350 and Trials 500 later in the day (March 26 - when the report was filed). The Trials badge models come with additional equipment that enhances their off-road capabilities, and thus we expect to see a marginal premium in prices over the standard motorcycles.

The Trials motorcycles benefit from off-road ready upgrades that include a headlight grille available in either Chrome or Black, depending on the model. Protecting the oil seals on the front forks are a pair of gaiters that would be available as standard. Another noticeable change to the fascia over the standard models is a shorter front fender. We expect the cockpit to feature the same dials on the Trials variants that display ride related information on the regular models. The fuel tank would receive a badge that is identical to the unit on the Interceptor INT 650.
A generous amount of chrome ensures a hint of a retro look to the Royal Enfield Trials 350 and Trials 500. Chrome treated parts include front fender, rear-view mirror housing, blinker mounts, oval box, battery box, and the brake pedal. Optional accessories, which would be aimed to enhance their capabilities on and off the tarmac, would accompany the motorcycles. Some of the optional accessories are handlebar brace kit, rear seat cover and touring seats. Other visual traits specific to the Trials 350 and 500 are upswept exhaust and a rear parcel rack.
Regular readers would have read our report in the past that revealed that the 350 Trials would receive with a red painted frame while the Trials 500 would get an olive green coloured chassis. The different colours are aimed to visually distinguish the two motorcycles.

While the Trials variants would pack various design changes, the mechanical specifications are likely to remain identical to the origins. The 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor makes 19.8 bhp of max power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The 499cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine churns out 27.1 bhp of max power and 41 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines employ a 5-speed gearbox. The safety net would include dual-channel ABS as standard.
