Previously, the off-road spec model was seen through screenshots of video footage in which CS Santosh was riding the motorcycle. Surprisingly, the off-road spec XPulse 200 was spotted in two variants. In more recent sighting, the upcoming XPulse 200 (off-roader) and XPulse 200T (Tourer) were spotted without any camouflage, and ready to roll into the showrooms.
The Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T were seen on a Turkey-based Instagram handle, MotopixelTV who seem to be testing the upcoming motorcycle. The XPulse 200 was seen in a shade of white while the XPulse 200T was seen in matte black colour.
As reported in the past, the Hero XPulse 200 would arrive in two variants – off-road and tourer models. The road-biased version was unveiled at the 2018 EICMA motorcycle show. The road-biased XPulse 200T gets a taller windscreen and alloy wheels instead of wire-spoke units that are seen on the off-road spec model. The 17-inch alloy wheels on the XPulse 200T are aimed to give it better on-road character and the convenience of tubeless tyres. The XPulse 200 features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels.
Engine specifications and features lists are identical on both models. A 200cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 18 bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 17 Nm at 6,500 rpm would perform propelling tasks. The motor employs a 5-speed gearbox. The safety net on both models includes a single-channel ABS while the convenience features comprise of LED head and tail lamps, digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
Stopping power comes from single, petal-type discs on both wheels. Shock absorption task is performed by a long-travel telescopic front suspension and an adjustable rear mono-shock.
