The India-spec 2019 Yamaha MT-15 is ‘coming soon’ to India, according to leaked presentation video by YouTuber 'bike lover'.
It seems after the FZ V3.0 launch in Bangalore earlier this week, Yamaha held a conference for ‘future products’, where the 2019 Yamaha MT-15 was revealed to the dealer partners through a presentation.
The slides show the upcoming India-spec 2019 Yamaha MT-15 along with a dedicated ‘coming soon’ slide. We expect the MT-15 to launch in India in the coming months (March or April 2019), considering the naked streetfighter is based on the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0. The India-spec MT-15 was spotted road testing on 18 January, showcasing its front fascia. The test mule was caught for the first time on 15 January.
As compared to the Thai-spec model, the Indian Yamaha MT-15 will feature conventional telescopic front forks and a different set of 17-inch alloy wheels, both of which are borrowed the Yamaha R15 V3.0. The motorcycle features a box-type swingarm that is suspended by a linkage-type rear mono-shock, which should offer excellent ride and handling.
The India-spec Yamaha MT-15 will continue with the updated design that includes a new bug-eyed LED headlamp, fully digital instrument cluster, muscular fuel tank with extended tank scoops and a lowered tail section. The MT-15 is based on the Deltabox frame, which has proved itself on the Yamaha R15 V3.0.
