It was only a matter of time before the ABS-equipped RC200 followed the 200 Duke ABS. KTM has announced the launch of RC200 ABS in India at an ex-showroom Delhi price tag of INR 1.88 lakh, a premium of INR 9,000 over the outgoing (non-ABS) model. The fully faired motorcycle retails at a premium of INR 28,000 over the naked roadster, the 200 Duke ABS.

A single-channel ABS is aimed to keep the price increase low and competitive. The motorcycle also benefits from an anti-lift system at the rear that is aimed to avoid the back wheel from lifting up under hard braking.
There are no further changes to the RC200, and the motorcycle continues to feature the specifications from the outgoing version. Thus, propelling tasks are performed by a 199.5cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, fuel-injected engine that delivers 25 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 revs. The motor comes mated with a six-speed gearbox.
Stopping power comes from a 280 mm single disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear. Other hardware specifications include full digital multi-function instrument console, twin-pod projector headlight, upside down suspension at the front and a monoshock at the back.
