Nearly two years after the Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo in 2017, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Toyota Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition. The new TRD offering is priced at INR 33.85 lakh*.
The Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition commemorates 10 years of Fortuner in India, hence the suffix 'Celebratory Edition'. It is available in only the 2.8D 4x2 AT configuration. The 2.8-litre diesel engine produces 177 PS and 450 Nm of torque. The automatic transmission of this SUV is a 6-speed unit. Priced at INR 33.85 lakh*, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition is almost INR 2.15 lakh more expensive in comparison to the regular Toyota Fortuner in the 2.8D 4x2 AT configuration.
The TRD Celebratory Edition is offered in only a dual-tone colour scheme comprising a mix of pearl white colour and black. It also gets bright-red 'TRD' badging on either end, 18-inch TRD Sportivo design charcoal black alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, and skid plates. Though it certainly looks more appealing than the regular variant currently on sale in India, it is still isn't as sassy as the TRD Sportivo variant sold in the international markets like Indonesia, Thailand or Oman.

Inside, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Celebratory Edition features a dual-tone Black and Maroon colour theme along with red stitch accents on the upholstery to reflect the sportier character associated with the TRD name. This cabin looks much similar to the new Indonesian-spec TRD Sportivo variant. LED projector headlamps, 7-inch touchscreen with embedded navigation, 7 airbags and vehicle stability control with brake assist and hill assist control are some of the equipment highlights.
