Honda had announced in December last year that the CBR650R will be launched by early 2019. The design of the all-new Honda CBR650R is completely overhauled, which is inspired by the CBR1000RR Fireblade. It features split LED headlights, fully-digital LCD instrument cluster, and LED lighting all around. The motorcycle features 41 mm Showa upside-down forks and an adjustable rear mono-shock. The 2019 Honda CBR650R is a direct rival to the Kawasaki Ninja 650. The motorcycle features aggressive ergonomics with lowered clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs. The updated model comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which modulates traction at the rear wheel.
The Honda CBR650R uses slightly reworked 649cc in-line four-cylinder motor that churns out 95 PS of power at 12,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. A slipper-clutch assisted six-speed gearbox transfers control to the wheel.
