Japanese magazine, Young Machine has revealed renders of the 2019 Honda CBR650R and the CB650R. The design of the new 2019 middleweight models from Honda’s product portfolio will be based on the litre-class motorcycles. Thus, CBR650R and the CB650R will draw styling cues from Fireblade and the CB1000R respectively.

The 2019 Honda CBR650R is imagined with dual LED headlights that resemble the units on the Fireblade. The fairing mounted front blinkers are LED units that add a premium look to the model. The LED headlamp and the windscreen are followed by a clip-on style handlebar that performs the steering duties. A muscular fuel tank follows the handlebar.
The saddle is a split seat unit although the rendered 2019 CBR650R seems to have a cowl instead of the pillion saddle that adds a sporty look to the motorcycle. The sides reveal a conventionally mounted exhaust canister instead of underseat units that are seen on the CBR650RR.
The hardware list includes upside-down telescopic front forks along with a monoshock at the rear. Twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear perform the anchoring tasks.
While the CBR650R gets modern styling, the naked roadster’s render features a retro design – something that we have seen on the CB1000R and the CB300R. Regular readers would have already read our report on the Honda Neo Sports Café 650 revealed earlier this month. The CB650R will be based on the same concept.
The fascia includes a round LED headlight. Steering duties are performed by a flat, single-piece handlebar instead of clip-on units on the CBR650R that should give more upright and comfortable ergonomics.
The saddle is a split seat unit, but it appears to be more comfortable than the fully faired model. Suspension and braking setup will be shared with the CBR650R, and thus you would spot upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Similar to the fully faired model, dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear provide the stopping power.

Propelling tasks would most likely be performed by an upgraded 649cc, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valves engine on both bikes. The current generation Honda CB650F draws 91 PS of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque 8,000 rpm.
