Here we have an Enfield that comes with an Explorer tag but isn’t a Himalayan. The Enfield Explorer is a 50cc motorcycle that is part of Vishal Agarwal’s massive garage of retro-classics. The Explorer is the second 50cc motorcycle in Vishal’s garage, the other being the BSA Bond 50.

Unlike many Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Explorer 50 features a boxy design. Thus, the fascia features a square-shaped headlight. Right above the headlamp is a rectangular instrument console and the dials come in round shape. Telltale indicators occupy the space between the two dials and the boxy design theme is carried on to the fuel tank, taillight and rear panel.
Chrome bits are minimal on the Enfield Explorer. The red paint is complemented by a three-colour stripe on the fuel tank, sides and rear panels. The fuel tank dons the Enfield badge and Explorer branding. The fuel filler cap comes in a black finish that complements the red colour of the motorcycle. Contrary to most retro-classics, the Explorer is equipped with alloy wheels. These are factory-installed units and not aftermarket.
Similar to rest of his garage, Vishal’s Enfield Explorer also uses its original registration – CKD 8311. The motorcycle runs on the stock engine. The 49cc, 2-stroke, air-cooled engine came paired with 3-speed gearbox and could propel the bike to a top speed of 60 kmph.
Telescopic forks at the front and twin-sided springs at the rear are tasked with suspension duties while stopping power comes from drum brakes. A tall handlebar and forward-set footrests offer comfortable and upright ergonomics.
