TVS Motor Company recently launched the Jupiter Grande, which goes on sale at INR 55,936 and INR 59,648 for the Drum and Disc brake variants. The chief rival to the TVS Jupiter Grande is the Honda Activa 5G, the highest-selling scooter in India with average monthly sales of 2.5 lakh units. Here’s a quick spec-level comparison between the Jupiter Grande and the Activa 5G.
The new TVS Jupiter Grande comes with new features like LED headlight, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a semi-digital instrument console. Cosmetic updates include a new Starlight Blue paint scheme with beige panels, quilted faux leather seat and chrome garnish on various body panels. The Jupiter Grande comes with an external fuel filler cap.
On the other hand, the Honda Activa 5G also features an LED headlamp as well as an LED position light. The Activa 5G Deluxe variant comes with an analogue-digital instrument cluster with Eco Speed indicator. While the Jupiter Grande comes with an optional front disc brake, the Activa 5G features drum brakes at both the ends.

The top-spec TVS Jupiter Grande receives 12-inch machined alloy wheels, while the Honda Activa 5G gets 10-inch steel rims. Both the scooters feature 90-section tubeless tyres at both the ends. The Jupiter Grande comes shod with 30 mm telescopic front forks and an adjustable mono-shock at the back. The Activa 5G, on the other hand, receives spring loaded hydraulic type shock absorbers at the front and rear.

The Honda Activa has a slightly higher under-seat storage capacity of 18-litres, while that on the Jupiter Grande is 17-litres. The Jupiter Grande has an external fuel filler cap, while the Activa 5G has a conventional internal fuel filler cap.
