Taking cues from the latest spy images and official teasers, IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has come up with updated renderings of the Tata Harrier’s front- and rear-end.

Tata Harrier Front Update 2018
The Tata Harrier will arrive as the first production model embodying the IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.

Staying true to the H5X concept, the production-spec Tata Harrier will feature sleek LED DRLs at the hood-level. There will be another cluster of lights just below it that will likely hold a projector setup for the main beam and an ellipsoidal lens for the high beam. A set of fog lamps will be positioned right below the headlamp cluster.  The styling elements at the front-end will form a Tri-Arrow pattern, which is something that will be seen on all new Tata Motors passenger cars, starting with this new SUV. In the latest rendering, our illustrator has updated the mesh design of the upper and the lower grille following the observations from the most recent spy images and teasers.

On the sides, the Tata Harrier will retain much of the overall design of the H5X concept. The only apparent change here will be the usage of smaller wheel size. Instead of the 22-inch wheels used on the concept, the Harrier is said to have 19-inch wheels. The SUV will measure approximately 4.6-metres in length, 2.0-metres in width, and 1.7-metres in height. It will have a wheelbase of 2.7-metres. Powering the SUV will be an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine with 140 PS of maximum power. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. A Hyundai-sourced 6-speed automatic unit will be optional. The new flagship will offer 'Super Drive Mode' drive mode selector, but an AWD system might not make it to our market.

In comparison to the slightly futuristic design of the front-end, the posterior will look more conventional. That said, it would look sufficiently modern and will have a sleek pair of tail lamps reminiscent of JLR SUVs. The glowing pattern shown in our latest rendering is in sync with the revelations made by the newest batch of spy images. In comparison to the H5X concept, the rear bumper and skid plate on the production model will have a toned-down look. As per the latest teasers, the rear-end of the roof will hold a shark fin antenna. Exhaust ports have been added to the rear bumper in accordance with the most recent spy images.

Tata Harrier Rear Update 2018
The Tata Harrier's prices may start at around INR 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
